Training on reporting diversity in Spain
Two 2-day workshops on reporting diversity are being held on 24-25 and 26-27 February 2011 in Madrid, Spain. These workshops are organised by the Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) in cooperation with the Media Diversity Institute (MDI), a global media development charity specialised in diversity reporting and media issues which is based in London. The workshops will be based on a Diversity Toolkit developed by the FRA in cooperation with the European Broadcasting Union (EBU).
The aim of the workshops is to improve the way that journalism professionals report diversity.
Trainer: Jean-Michel Duffrene is a multilingual and experienced media trainer. He has spent 27 years working for the BBC and he will guide the workshop participants through intense multimedia training.
The target audience is working journalists, journalism academics and staff from NGOs specialised in diversity.
The training is free of charge for media professionals and the number of places is limited. Participants are expected to cover their travel and accommodation costs.
