Six European NGOs launched a network on “Adult Education Strategies to Overcome Group-Focused Hostility in Europe”. In the framework of an EU Grundtvig project, the partners shared best practices, discussed national particularities of tackling group-focused hostility and identified common all-European approaches.
The partners evaluated practices against racism, anti-immigrant attitudes, antisemitism, anticiganism and homophobia. Special attention was paid to reflection on the political, economical and social contexts of group-focused hostility in the respective countries, and the common core elements of devaluating "weak" groups in European societies.
Best practices with a potential for transfer are featured in the publication "Adult Education Strategies to Overcome Group-Focused Hostility in Europe". Please click to find a project summary and the publication for download in the EUROPEAN SHARED TREASURE database.
