Moreover, education for democratic citizenship and human rights aims at strengthening learners’ and educators’ knowledge, skills, attitudes and values for handling diversity and differences, promoting a positive environment and preventing violence at school through a model of coexistence which affirms the existence of others, rejects violence and protects children’s rights.
